Well, yesterday we went to Sea world pretty much all day. It was great going back there, we totally forgot though how big that park was. Needless to say by the end of the day our feet were ready for some serious soaking. Despite all that everyone still had a wonderful time. The last time we made a trip out there our daughter Elena was just a small fry. I remember the first place she wanted to go when we arrived was the dolphin cove. She was small so we always had to help her see over the ledge so she could try and touch the dolphins. Well, Saturday we did the same thing but this time she didn't us help. As I stood there watching her I couldn't help but to remember the days when she needed help. It was one of those moments for me that was really touching. My daughter is growing up really fast! Clarinda and I love every moment of it, and with each day that comes our family continues to love. We love, learn and live and the most awesome part of all that is that God is totally in it all! Peace out ya'll

Mowing Hay
Today after I got out of work I decided to cut my grass. Well, needless to say it was like I was mowing hay! There was, let's call it grass/hay trimmings shooting everywhere. This long dry spell of not getting any rain really starts taking it's toll on my yard. But after all was said and done my front yard was finished. I then got ready to start watering. OUCH! Two and a half hours of h2o was doing what it could to bring the green back. At the same time I was thinking green too, but not the grass, if you know what I mean. Yeah, can you say $$$$$$. I sure hope that rain starts making it's way over here soon, otherwise I'll start running a hay business from my front yard! That's all. God Bless and peace out!

Masters Camp here comes FSM!
I can't believe that camp is already around the corner! It just comes by so fast it seams. Well FSM is going with a new group of students along with some "veterans" . I'm real excited about everyone though. I believe that this years camp experience will be one that everyone will remember. Not only will Rush of Fools be there all week, but so will Josh Humbert. He will be the camp pastor at this years camp. Last year he was the morning Bible study teacher and so many students had awesome things to say about this guy! I believe that our creator Jesus Christ will invade the lives of many students at camp and it's my prayer that life change will take place right before our eyes! Let it be your prayer also, that the hearts and minds of all students are prepared to recieve his grace and mercy upon them! So, here we come ready to recieve and while were at it....... have FUN!!!!!!! pEACE OuT!

Caliente
I've been working at the Wal-Mart Dc now for 13 years, you would think when summer comes I'd be used to the heat by now. NOPE! Imagine outside it's already 100 degrees right? Well, add another 30 degrees on top of that and you get my working conditions. Now don't get the wrong idea I'm very much greatful that the Lord blessed me with my employment. You see I work inside of those Wally World trailers you see on the high way all the time and those thing get CALIENTE (Hot). The great thing is that I spend alot of my time in their thinking about alot of stuff. So... the conditions are hot, but the opportunity is great! Great to think, pray, worship, and just be thankful. It reminds me that even in those "HOT" conditions God can still "COOL" things off! That's all. Peace out ya'll!

Feeling A Buzz
You know I have to confess something,as you know fathers day is coming up and our church is having our service at Rio Vista park. Along with that were throwing our 3rd annual Papapaloza celebration in honor of all the pops. Well where I'm going with this is when first heard it was going to be at the park I was thinking three things heat, sweat, and more heat, but then God being who he is sat me down put his arm around me and said Ralph,Ralph,Ralph. Yep, it was a time for some setting strait! You see I was reminded that it's just brilliant to have it at the park! Why? Well, I'm glad you asked. IT'S ALL ABOUT PEOPLE! Who would ever have a church service outside at the park on Fathers day! WE WOULD!!!! That's the awesome thing, I mean can you imagine what the community is saying to themselves? Probably the first thing I was thinking. Our church is all about people and meeting them were there at. I think alot of times we get to comfortable and forget that, at least I did. It's an awesome opportunity to reach people just enjoying their afternoon. I've been reading Pop Goes the Church by Tim Stevens and I tell you it's very, very encouraging. There's a chapter that talks about creating a buzz about your church, not for the sake of attention or the spotlight, but to see people give their lives to Jesus and start walking a new path with Him. That's what God reminded me about, that it wasn't about me at all, but about people! So despite the heat and any other thing I could think of, if one person came either to this Sundays service or another and started moving towards God, well then IT'S ALL WORTH IT! So I hope that we catch that buzz and realize the opportunity that totally exists! Are you feeling buzzed yet? Peace out!

Revised Summer Schedule
Today Firehouse had a great time at Sewell Park. We hung out with other area youth ministries and ate some franks. I always enjoy it when we gather together with other students. The time I have together with other youth pastors is also awesome. It's a wonderful thing to know that we're in it for one reason and one reason only TO HELP OUR STUDENTS EXPERIENCE A DEEP AND MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR JESUS CHRIST! It's a journey, we each take to mirror Jesus, though times get tough it's all worth it when one comes to trust Jesus as their Savior! I'm grateful and honored to have the privelage to minister and develop great relationships with my students. Thanks to all the parents who bring their kids. I know that probably sounds funny, but the parents have a HUGE part in this too. I just wanted to say that.THANK YOU! Ok, so the revised summer schedule is:
June 18- Sewell park for some swimming and pizza.6:30 till 8pm
June 27-Playscape for capture the flag. 8:15 till 10pm game begins at 8:30.
